The Marketing Department is seeking a Business Development Assistant to provide project and administrative support to the Business Development team. The position will assist with the preparation of pitches, presentations, marketing collateral, and legal directory submissions; support the collection and maintenance of firmwide experience data; support webinars, events, and sponsorships; and provide general assistance to the broader Marketing Department as needed.
This position may be based in the firm’s New York or Washington, DC office and will follow a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
Pitches & Marketing Materials
- Prepare pitchbooks, meeting materials, and other marketing collateral for clients and client prospects.
- Assist in the development, editing, and production of PowerPoint presentations and other custom marketing materials.
- Serve as a primary contact for attorney requests for marketing materials.
- Coordinate with the Business Resource Center and Office Services on the production of marketing materials.
Directory Submissions & Experience Database
- Support the coordination of submissions to legal directories, including Chambers and The Legal 500.
- Assist with the entry, maintenance, and updating of information within the firm’s experience database.
- Support transactional Business Development team members with the collection and maintenance of league table experience data.
Events & Programming
- Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual conferences, seminars, and sponsorships.
- Provide on-site and virtual event support as needed.
Business Development Operations
- Assist with tracking business development activity, including data entry and maintenance of the firm CRM and pitch tracking database.
- Support general research requests, including lateral hire and competitive intelligence research.
- Prepare and process invoices, bills, and expense reports.
Administrative & Department Support
- Provide administrative support to the Business Development team, including scheduling meetings, reserving conference rooms, and preparing meeting materials.
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience or equivalent internship experience in a similar administrative or professional support role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with AI tools and marketing technologies is preferred.
- Strong proofreading, editing, written communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multi-functional team.
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to internal and external client service.
- Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $56,000 to $62,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

As a nonexempt position, this position is eligible for overtime.
The firm may provide a discretionary bonus annually
