The Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications in the Division of Student Engagement and Success, under the joint supervision of the Divisions of Marketing and Communications and Student Engagement and Success, leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategic marketing and communication efforts for the Division of Student Engagement and Success and its respective departments, including brand management, promotional strategy, programs, services, events and/or goals, and communication of that information to the student body. This position develops, implements, and executes marketing and communication campaigns to the student population.
The position is on-campus located in Stephenville, Texas. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. This position requires work beyond normal business hours, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication plans aligned with the Division of Student Engagement & Success strategic goals while supporting the university brand.
Share messaging and branding strategies that effectively communicate.
Strategically manage and create content for the division’s digital media presence including website maintenance and social media while ensuring content is consistent with the university’s brand and messaging.
Develop and create marketing materials for the division, including print and digital assets.
Write, edit, review and distribute communications through internal and external channels.
Assist in event planning for the division, including logistics coordination and promotion.
Protects and promotes the university’s brand identity.
Leadership and project management for full-time employees, student workers and interns.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or applicable field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six years of related experience
