We’re actively seeking a Marketing Manager to join AMA’s internal Marketing team! 

The American Marketing Association is the essential community for marketers. In this role, you’ll play a critical role as a stakeholder in shaping the future of AMA’s learning business and the opportunity to influence marketing’s impact on the learning products portfolio.

Our marketing team is responsible for not only amplifying our impact but also helping us expand our reach. This role is pivotal in the evolution of AMA as it builds beyond its current offerings. 

Marketing Manager Core Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to develop and execute marketing strategies and tactics that drive business success in terms of customer acquisition, retention, and experience.
  • Overseeing holistic marketing plans and activities across AMA owned & operated channels, paid channels, and partners (external) channels.  
  • Working closely with the Learning team to evaluate and evolve the product mix based on the needs of the customer, market competition, and AMA strategic direction.  
  • Setting up and managing digital products from a marketing standpoint.  This includes tasks such as (but not limited to) understanding user journey and product purchase behaviors, copywriting, creative development, cross-promotional partnership negotiations.  
  • Proactively exploring new marketing tactics to test, learn, and optimize ROI.  
  • Continually assessing and evaluating the customer experience with our business portfolio and optimizing customer perception of the brand and products.
  • Staying on top of competition and providing competitive analysis to the organization.  
  • Completing other special projects as assigned.


What You Have

  • 5 years of work experience with a proven track record of driving business success in terms of customer acquisition and retention
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and creatively devising and leading acquisition marketing campaigns 
  • A passion for numbers and identifies yourself as a data-driven marketer. 
  • Experienced analyzing data and providing strategic recommendations based on your analysis
  • Experience analyzing and optimizing email, digital, and printed copy tailored to the target audience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

What You May Also Have

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Marketing
  • Prior experience in working with project management tools 
  • Prior experience in working with CRM systems

  • The salary range for this position is: $70,000 to $90,000 based upon experience.

What To Expect from The Interview Process 

  • Hiring manager resume review
  • One way video interview on our video interview platform, Spark Hire (we promise this isn’t scary! You have unlimited time to think for ALL five questions we ask!). This will  take approximately 15 - 20 minutes.
  • 30-minute phone interview with a member of the People and Culture team
  • An assignment to present during the Virtual Interview
  • Virtual Interview with the hiring manager and stakeholders you’ll work closely with
